Obverse description A large vignette across the upper portion of the note presents a detailed line-art illustration of a ship under construction in a shipyard, with towering cranes and scaffolding visible on either side of the vessel's hull. The denomination "50" appears in large numerals on both the left and right margins as vertical lettering. The central lower portion carries the issuer's name and place of issue in bold letterpress typography, above a manuscript signature.

Reverse description The upper portion bears a bold header inscription naming the two associated companies across the full width of the note. To the left, a rectangular text panel contains a Low German (Plattdeutsch) patriotic verse in Gothic script celebrating the Butjarland region. To the right, a vignette in line-art style shows two figures — a man and a woman — standing on a hilltop overlooking a rural landscape, with a flag planted beside them.
