| Obverse description | Printed in red, black, and grey on cream paper, the obverse is arranged in three horizontal registers: the upper panel carries a four-line German verse in bold red letterpress within a decorative banner; the central black band bears the denomination numeral '50' in large grey figures at left and right, flanking the city coat of arms — a crowned lion above a crenellated wall — set within an ornate cartouche at centre. The lower cream panel contains the issuer inscription, redemption clause, date of 31 December 1921, and the facsimile signature of the Oberbürgermeister, with the printer's imprint along the bottom margin. |
