| 裏面の説明 | Octagonal flan with a continuous pearl border following the eight-sided contour of the coin. Within the border, the circular Latin legend 'KLEINGELDERSATZMARKE' curves around the upper portion of the field. A twisted rope circle frames the central area, within which the large numeral '50' denotes the denomination. Three five-pointed stars are evenly spaced along the lower margin between the rope circle and the pearl border. |

Dingelstädt, a small town in the Eichsfeld region of Thuringia, issued notgeld like this piece during the acute small-change shortage that gripped Germany in the early 1920s. Municipal iron issues were among the least desirable emergency coinage materials — prone to rust, unpopular in circulation, and quickly withdrawn once the immediate shortage eased. The Funck and Menzel catalog numbers here indicate a documented but minor local type, typical of the hundreds of small-city iron issues that have survived primarily because nobody wanted to spend them.
