| Obverse description | Notgeld (emergency currency) in a vivid three-colour letterpress design dominated by blue, orange, and black on cream paper. The central vignette contains a bold numeral '50' set against a radiating orange star burst, flanked on each side by the Pfennig sign in ornate Fraktur script, all enclosed within an elliptical band inscribed with the issuer's name and the expiry date. The outer border is richly composed of stylised pine branches, pine cones, and lit Advent candles in the four corners, evoking a Christmas theme. A ribbon cartouche at the lower portion carries facsimile signatures of the Bürgermeister and Stadtrat, with the printer's imprint 'DRUCK: HIMMER, AUGSBURG.' at the very foot. |
