| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field bearing the large denomination numeral '50' in raised relief, divided from the abbreviation 'PF.' below by a horizontal line. The place name 'BOLDIXUM' arcs along the upper periphery in incuse Latin lettering, while 'FÖHR' curves along the lower periphery, also incuse, framing the denomination. The design is characteristic of German porcelain notgeld, with bold, simplified lettering pressed into the brown glazed ceramic flan. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Boldixum is one of the small parishes on the North Frisian island of Föhr, and like dozens of German municipalities in 1920 it issued its own emergency porcelain coinage — Porzellangeld — to offset the chronic small-change shortage that followed the war and the early inflationary pressures of the Republic. The Meissen and Plauen porcelain works were the primary producers of this Notgeld type, supplying municipal pieces across Schleswig-Holstein and beyond. Brown-glazed examples from Föhr parishes are among the harder regional variants to locate, the island's small population having produced correspondingly modest issue quantities.
