Obverse description Notgeld issue in green, red, and brown letterpress printing, with an ornate foliate border framing the entire face. To the left, an oval vignette portrays Charlemagne (Karl der Große) in imperial regalia, his name inscribed along the oval's edge. To the right, the issuing authority text appears in Gothic blackletter script, with the place name 'Hausberge a.d. Weser' in large red letters, the date 'Januar 1921', and two manuscript signatures below the designation 'der Vorstand' for the Vorsitzender and Rendant. The denomination '50 Pfennig' is set in large decorative type across the lower portion, with a green guilloche underprint overlaying the central text area.
