Obverse description	Printed in black and ochre on cream paper, the obverse is framed by a rectangular border flanked by two ornately capped classical columns at left and right. A bold header panel at top carries the issuer inscription 'Kreis Hofgeismar' with the denomination numeral '50' repeated at either side, while the central field displays a large '50' against a repetitive underprint of small '50' numerals forming a guilloche-like tonal background. Below the central numeral, a multi-line text block in Gothic script sets out the cheque-order obligation of the Kreissparkasse, with a serial number in larger typeface at the foot and the printer's imprint 'GEBR. GOTTHELFT, CASSEL' in small capitals at the lower left margin.

Reverse description	The reverse is executed in a bold two-colour woodcut or lithographic style in black and ochre, with a vignette of the Lippoldsberg monastery complex set amid lush foliage occupying the full note area. A tall Romanesque church tower rises at the left, its nave and ancillary structures rendered in strong outline against billowing ochre clouds, while a ribbon cartouche at upper centre bears the place name 'Lippoldsberg' and a heavy double-outline numeral panel '50' appears at the upper right corner.
