Obverse description The obverse is dominated by the large heraldic coat of arms of Kirn an der Nahe, rendered in vivid red, gold, and blue tones, with two rampant lions flanking a central blue chevron on a red field, surmounted by a mural crown. A decorative ribbon scroll at the top bears the town name in Gothic blackletter script, flanked by an all-over leafy vine underprint in dark red. The lower left carries a facsimile signature of the Bürgermeister alongside a serial number at lower right, with a validity clause inscribed on a horizontal banner across the centre.

Reverse description The reverse presents a central vignette of the ruined Kyrburg castle perched atop a rocky outcrop, rendered in a delicate grey-green line engraving style against a pale sky. Flanking the central scene are two boxed denomination panels reading '50 Pf.' in large bold red numerals, with allegorical vignettes of a craftsman at left and a windmill scene at right set below. A scrolled banner at top carries a patriotic motto in Gothic script, while a second ribbon below bears an additional motto and the Latin legend 'NUNQUAM RETRORSUM' centred above a small numeral '50'.
