The denomination numeral '50' appears in red at upper left and is repeated as '50 Pfg.' in red at lower right, flanked by a wavy red guilloche band; the issuer name 'Rieder' is rendered in large decorative calligraphic letters occupying the central right field, incorporating a small landscape vignette within the initial 'R'. Validity text, the date '1. Sept. 21', and the countersignature of the Gemeindevorstand are set in a vertical column to the left. |

(Translation: Prince Wolfgang eagerly pursued the audacious robber and captured him near Ellrich. He was subsequently sentenced to death in Ellrich by a high criminal court. Two of his companions were hanged; he himself was freed by landsknechts and continued his life of robbery.) |
