| Reverse description | Two oval portrait medallions, each encircled by a laurel wreath, occupy the centre of the note side by side: the left medallion bears a bust of Luise Adelgunde Victorie Gottsched ("Gottschedin") and the right that of Johann Christoph Gottsched ("Gottsched"), both identified by name scrolls beneath their respective portraits. The denomination numeral "50" is repeated in each corner, and stylised wheat-ear vignettes fill the lateral margins.
