| Obverse description | The obverse is dominated by a large teal heraldic shield vignette at centre, bearing a rampant white horse over a landscape vignette with the inscription ROSSBACH / KREIS / QUERFURT and crossed keys at the shield's base point, framed by a geometric teal border panel inscribed GEMEINDE at the top. The denomination 50 Pf. appears in bold letterpress at upper left and upper right flanking the shield, with KREIS / QUERFURT inscribed accordingly. To the lower left, a vignette of mining and industrial tools with oak leaves alludes to local industry, while to the lower right an agricultural implement and wheat sheaves represent rural trades; validity text and the facsimile signature of the Gemeindevorsteher appear in the lower portion. |

A yellow cartouche at the top bears the title DIE SCHLACHT BEI ROSSBACH / 5. Nov. 1757. Below the vignette, a three-line verse in blackletter type runs across the full width of the note. |
