The upper half bears the bold block lettering 'STADT WISMAR' flanking a central star-burst vignette in which the numeral '50' is set. Filling the lower two-thirds of the note is a detailed panoramic city-view vignette showing the Wismar waterfront skyline with church towers, gabled rooftops, and harbour reflections rendered in fine woodcut-style line work, the whole contained within a geometric diamond-shaped frame. Below the panorama, a decorative cartouche carries the inscription 'REUTERGELD' in bold letterpress. |
