The upper register carries the town name 'Bad Schmiedeberg' in large decorative script alongside the 'Notgeld' legend, with flanking star ornaments and the date 'Anno 1921' at top corners. Lower registers carry two lines of text in Gothic script, a handwritten serial number, and two manuscript signatures above the printed authority line 'Der Magistrat', with the printer's imprint at the very foot.
