正面描述 Central vignette of a large, spreading oak tree rendered in a woodcut-style illustration against a pale pink underprint, symbolising Germanic rootedness and regional identity. The denomination "Gültig für 50 Pfennig" appears in Gothic script to the left of the tree trunk, with the issuer name "Gemeinde Trittau" and a facsimile signature of the Gemeindevorsteher (community leader) to the right. A patriotic verse in Gothic lettering runs along the upper border, and a validity notice is printed along the lower border.

备注

Trittau is a small town in Holstein, east of Hamburg, and like hundreds of German municipalities in the early 1920s it issued its own small-denomination emergency currency — Kleingeldscheine — to fill the void left by a chronic shortage of official coinage driven by wartime metal requisitioning and postwar hoarding. By 1922 the Weimar government had still not resolved the fractional currency problem, so local administrations were legally permitted to issue their own notes up to 1 Mark face value, redeemable in theory against official tender.

The watermarked paper is the notable physical detail here — an unusual security measure for municipal scrip of this size and denomination, most of which was printed on plain stock.
