Obverse description Yellow-ground Notgeld note with a bold black Gothic-script header reading 'Amt Neustadt i/M.' flanked by two red circular medallions bearing the denomination '50' and 'Pfg' respectively. The lower half carries a humorous polychrome vignette signed 'HEINBERG', showing a procession of armed frogs marching left along a marsh bank while a white stork at right catches one of them mid-air, with a scroll cartouche in the centre containing a German verse in black Gothic lettering. Validity text and the issuing authority's manuscript signature appear above the vignette, dated April 1922.
Obverse lettering Serie I · Amt Neustadt i/M. · Dieser Schein verliert seine Gültigkeit 1 Monat nach Aufkündigung im Amtsblatt. Der Amtsausschuss: April 1922 · Schwupp dimupp, es hat geklappt, einen hat er schon geschnappt.
Reverse description Cream-ground note with 'Kamerun' in large red Gothic letters across the top centre, flanked by red corner blocks bearing the denomination '50' in white. The central vignette presents a colour lithograph of the Gouvernement-Haus in Duala (labelled '1) Gouvern.-Haus in Duala'), set among tropical palms; lateral panels depict a Cameroonian soldier at left and a female figure carrying produce at right, both against yellow grounds. The lower register contains a patriotic German couplet in Gothic script, with small red vignettes of a rope knot and tropical fruit in the bottom corners.
