Obverse description A silhouette vignette of the Quedlinburg skyline dominates the central panel, with radiating sunburst lines emanating from a stylised monogram at the apex. Flanking the central scene are two vertical panels bearing the denomination '50 PFENNIG' and validity dates '22.–23. APRIL 1922' alongside two heraldic shields — an eagle at lower left and crossed keys at lower right — each set against an ochre ground. A decorative foliate border runs along the top edge, and the printer's imprint 'H. MEYERDING QUEDLINBURG' appears at the lower right margin.
Obverse lettering 50 PFENNIG / GÜLTIG 22.-23. APRIL 1922 / JUBILÄUMSGUTSCHEIN DER STADT QUEDLINBURG ZUR TAUSENDJAHRFEIER / 922 / 1922
Reverse description The central vignette, rendered in an expressive woodcut-like style after Otto Markus, illustrates the historical scene of the 'Sturz des Roland' (Fall of the Roland statue) of 1477, with armoured figures and a toppling equestrian statue set within an arched composition. Flanking the central panel are two vertical side strips printed in green, each carrying the denomination '50 PF' and a silhouetted figure against a green rosette underprint. The inscriptions 'Sturz des Roland 1477' and 'Nach Otto Markus' appear in the upper corners.
