背面描述	The reverse is printed in steel-grey and vivid red-orange. A broad ornamental border of stylised Gothic and Art Nouveau motifs in grey surrounds a central rectangular vignette rendered in the manner of a woodcut, illustrating a scene from the Cologne legend of the Heinzelmännchen — small gnome-like figures busily at work in a domestic interior by night, illuminated by warm orange tones, with a sleeping figure visible in a curtained bed to the right. Denomination numerals '50' with Pfennig symbols appear in white on the grey side panels flanking the central image.
