| Descrizione del dritto | The obverse is printed in brown, red, and green on a tan ground, with bold decorative Art Nouveau lettering throughout. At the top, the legend 'GOLDAP OSTPR. NOTGELD 1921' is set in large stylized type, flanked by validity and redemption notices; to the left 'NUR GÜLTIG BIS ZUM: 31. DEZ. 1921' and to the right 'EINLÖSUNG BEI DER STADTKASSE'. The denomination '50 Pfennig' appears in large numerals at left and right, with a central vignette of the Goldap municipal coat of arms — an eagle on a quartered shield — surrounded by foliate ornament, below which appear two facsimile signatures above the inscription 'DER MAGISTRAT:' and the designer credit 'ENTW: ARCH. HANS PHILIPP'. |
