| Description de l’avers | Orange-gold and blue-grey bicolour notgeld with a central vignette of a full-length armoured knight in blue-grey holding a lance and shield, flanked on either side by large numeral '50' denomination figures. Two scroll-shaped panels flank the knight: the left bearing the redemption notice and serial number in Gothic script, the right bearing the place name, date of issue (27 April 1921), issuing authority 'Der Magistrat' and two manuscript facsimile signatures. The printer's imprint 'Louis Koch · Halberstadt·' appears at the bottom margin. |

| Description du revers | Richly illustrated multicolour vignette in the Art Nouveau notgeld style, centred on a scene of Bishop Buko von Halberstadt standing beneath a Gothic cathedral portal in vestments, surrounded by a procession of children and attendants; Romanesque church towers rise on both left and right flanks against a twilight sky. The denomination '50' appears in large gold numerals at lower left and lower right, with 'Fünfzig' and 'Pfennig' in banner cartouches at upper left and upper right respectively. The designer's name 'W. OTTO' is printed at lower centre, with 'Halberstadt a. H.' in large Gothic lettering across the bottom and two dialectal Low German motto scrolls at lower left and lower right. |
