| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in black and orange on a pale ground, framed by a dark border with orange interlace ornaments at the lateral margins. At centre left, the municipal coat of arms of Lingen — a shield bearing three towers, supported by two rampant lions beneath a crown — forms the principal vignette. To the right, a block of Fraktur text sets out the note's conditions of acceptance and redemption, dated Lingen, den 1. April 1921, followed by two facsimile signatures for Der Magistrat and Das Bürgervorsteher-Kollegium. Orange ribbon banners at top and bottom carry the issuer name and denomination legends, with the numeral 50 displayed in large gothic figures at the upper centre and lower centre. |
