The central vignette presents a large ornate triangle with radiating sunburst lines on a black ground, enclosing the bold numeral '50' in stylized script over a guilloché rosette; flanking the triangle in arched niches are two figures of miners in traditional Harz mining dress, each holding tools of the trade.
