| Obverse description | Black-ground centre panel carries the polychrome municipal arms of Barntrup — a quartered shield in red and gold charged with a six-pointed star — set within a circular ornamental cartouche. The denomination legend "Gutschein über fünfzig Pfennig" is printed in large bold letterpress type across the upper portion of the note, flanked by decorative scroll borders. Two columns of German text state the redemption conditions, the issuing authority "BARNTRUP", and the date "20. November 1921"; the lower strip bears printed facsimile signatures for Der Magistrat and Die Stadtv.-Versammlung alongside a serial number. |
