正面描述 The obverse is dominated by a central vignette of the Treuenbrietzen town tower with a red-tiled roof, framed by elaborate baroque acanthus scrollwork in gold. In the lower centre, the municipal coat of arms shows a crenellated red gatehouse with a black eagle above, set within an ornamental cartouche. Denomination roundels bearing the numeral '50' in red appear at left and right, the issue date 'Ausgegeben im Juli 1921' is inscribed at lower left, and the issuing authority 'Der Magistrat' with facsimile signatures appears at lower right, all against a gold foliate underprint enclosed by a border carrying the validity inscription.

备注

Treuenbrietzen is a small Brandenburg town best known, if at all, for a 1945 massacre carried out there by retreating SS units in the war's final days — a dark postscript entirely disconnected from this 1921 Notgeld issue. The note belongs to the vast wave of municipal emergency money that flooded Germany during the postwar inflation spiral, when coin metal was hoarded and official small change effectively vanished from daily commerce. Magistrats across Prussia deputized themselves to fill the gap.

J.A. Schwarz of Lindenberg im Allgäu was one of the more prolific provincial printers of Notgeld series during this period, supplying dozens of smaller municipalities that lacked access to larger specialist houses.
