| 正面铭文 | Gutschein der Stadt Lauchstedt Lauchstedt zur Zeit der Klassiker 50 Pfg. Lauchstedt 1921 Der Magistrat DRUCK: J. ADOLF SCHWARZ · LINDENBERG I/ALLGÄU |
| 背面描述 | The reverse is executed in dark blue and ochre on a light underprint with decorative grain-stalk vignettes in the lateral margins. Two portrait medallions, each enclosed within an oval laurel wreath, occupy the centre of the note: at left, Karolina von Beulwitz, and at right, Charlotte Schiller geb. von Lengefeld, both rendered as bust-length intaglio-style portraits facing slightly inward. Ribbon banderoles beneath each medallion carry the respective names, while a header band at the top reads 'Berühmte Persönlichkeiten' and a footer inscription reads 'Aus Lauchstedts klassischer Zeit'. The denomination numeral '50' appears in each corner. The artists' names 'Heinz' and 'Schiestl' are inscribed at lower left and lower right respectively. |

| 备注 |
Bad Lauchstädt — the small Saxon spa town whose theater was famously associated with Goethe — issued this 50 Pfennig Notgeld in 1921 as the postwar inflation began outpacing the Reichsbank's ability to supply small-denomination coin. Hundreds of German municipalities did the same, but the printer here, J. Adolf Schwarz of Lindenberg im Allgäu, was a specialist in the genre, producing Notgeld for numerous small issuers across the country from his shop deep in the Bavarian Allgäu — nearly 800 kilometers from Lauchstädt itself.
The 1921 date places this in the later phase of municipal emergency currency, by which point many issues had become openly collectible objects, printed in intentional series to generate revenue from hobbyists as much as to solve a genuine change shortage.
