| Reverse description | The reverse is executed in dark blue and ochre on a light underprint with decorative grain-stalk vignettes in the lateral margins. Two portrait medallions, each enclosed within an oval laurel wreath, occupy the centre of the note: at left, Karolina von Beulwitz, and at right, Charlotte Schiller geb. von Lengefeld, both rendered as bust-length intaglio-style portraits facing slightly inward. Ribbon banderoles beneath each medallion carry the respective names, while a header band at the top reads 'Berühmte Persönlichkeiten' and a footer inscription reads 'Aus Lauchstedts klassischer Zeit'. The denomination numeral '50' appears in each corner. The artists' names 'Heinz' and 'Schiestl' are inscribed at lower left and lower right respectively. |
