The upper corners carry large red '50' numerals against dark panels, with the place name 'Darlingerode a. H.' in Gothic lettering across the top centre. The central vignette is a naturalistically rendered landscape scene in green and brown tones, with a stag, two does, and a fawn grazing on a meadow before a backdrop of wooded hills, executed in a flat lithographic Art Nouveau style typical of German Notgeld issues of the early 1920s. |
