| Obverse description | Brown letterpress note on cream paper, framed by a decorative border of interlocking geometric and dot motifs with the denomination numeral '50' repeated in each corner. A shield-shaped vignette at centre bears the circular inscription 'Gemeinde Weddersleben' around the legend 'Fünfzig Pfennig', flanked left and right by two stanzas of Low German verse. Below the vignette appear the validity clause 'Gültig bis zum Aufruf', the place and date 'Weddersleben, d. 1.
