| 表面の説明 | The obverse is printed in green and brown on a cream ground. A central oval cartouche bears the issuer's name in bold lettering, flanked by four circular medallions at the cardinal points containing local vignettes: a town gate with trees at top, a ruined tower at bottom, a crouching figure at left, and a woodworking plane at right. Decorative foliate arabesques fill the border, with large numeral '50' printed in dark green at both upper corners. The date, issuing authority, and validity clause appear within the cartouche, accompanied by two manuscript signatures. |

Triebes was a small textile-manufacturing town in the Greiz district of Thuringia, and like hundreds of comparable municipalities it began issuing Notgeld in 1921 as Germany's postwar small-change shortage ground on. The municipal savings bank — Städtische Sparkasse — rather than the town council proper served as the formal issuing authority, a common arrangement that gave the obligations a thin veneer of banking legitimacy. Otto Henning A.G. in nearby Greiz handled the printing, a logical choice given the firm's proximity and its established regional trade in small commercial print work.
