| Beschrijving voorzijde | Multicolour Notgeld issue in blue, green, red, and black on paper. The central vignette presents a view of the Zörbig town tower (Stadtturm) rising above a townscape of rooftops and trees, flanked by two circular medallions: the left medallion bears the city arms of Zörbig supported by a winged angel figure, and the right medallion carries the seal of the Kuratorium der Sparkasse der Stadt Zörbig. The large denomination numeral '50' is set within a central black hexagonal cartouche, while the outer border is formed by an ornamental frame of ivy-leaf motifs with the denomination repeated in each corner and personal names inscribed along the lateral margins. |

| Opmerkingen |
Zörbig is a small town in Saxony-Anhalt, and its Stadtsparkasse issued this note during the acute small-change shortage that gripped Germany in 1921 — a period when municipal savings banks, transport companies, and individual merchants were all printing their own Notgeld simply to make everyday transactions possible. H. Schiebel in nearby Bitterfeld was a regional printer who handled a number of these local emergency issues, none of them particularly ambitious in scale.
Zörbig's series is minor even by Notgeld standards — a local solution to a local problem, printed a few kilometers from where it circulated.
