正面描述 Grey-toned notgeld voucher with a dark brown decorative border and scroll-style ribbon banners at top and bottom. At centre, the municipal coat of arms of Braunlage — a red shield surmounted by a crenellated mural crown and charged with a rearing white horse — is flanked by large red numeral '50' on each side, with the issuer inscription 'Gemeinde Braunlage' above and below the arms. A redemption text in Gothic script occupies the lower central field, accompanied by a serial number and the Bürgermeister's manuscript signature; the printer's imprint 'Louis Koch, Halberstadt' appears vertically along the right margin.

备注

Braunlage is a small spa and resort town in the Harz mountains, and its 1921 Notgeld issue reflects the acute small-change shortage that forced thousands of German municipalities to print their own emergency currency during the inflationary spiral of the early Weimar period. Louis Koch of Halberstadt was a regional printer who handled a number of Harz-area Notgeld commissions during this window — competent work, not prestige engraving.

The DeNG reference suffix 1-3/3 indicates this is the third note in a three-piece set, a common Notgeld structure designed to encourage collectors to acquire complete runs rather than individual pieces — a marketing instinct that was, frankly, deliberate from the start.
