The lateral borders are filled with a striking diagonal chevron pattern in red, yellow, and black, with the text 'So leben wir' running vertically along each margin. Verses of the traditional Prussian soldiers' song are inscribed in Gothic script across the lower portion of the note. |

| 备注 |
Dessau's municipal authority issued this Notgeld piece during the inflationary spiral of 1921, when the Reichsbank's chronic coin shortage forced hundreds of German towns to print their own fractional currency. The Ratsdruckerei R. Dulce in Glauchau was a regional municipal press that handled Notgeld contracts for multiple Saxon and Thuringian localities during this period — Dessau, though in Anhalt rather than Saxony, was well within its practical catchment.
By late 1923 the entire Notgeld system was swept away by the Rentenmark stabilization. Most 50 Pfennig pieces of this type were never redeemed.
