| Obverse description | The obverse is printed on a tan ground and framed by a double border of black and red rules. Two heart-shaped vignettes in blue and red, each bearing the denomination numeral '50', are positioned at left and right, surrounded by stylised foliate and berry ornaments in green and red. A central cartouche with a red dotted border contains a Low German folk saying in four lines. Below the cartouche the issuing locality and date 'Tonndorf-Lohe, den 30. März 1921' are typeset, with a ribbon banner beneath carrying the validity clause; the Gemeindevorsteher's facsimile signature appears at the foot. |
