| Obverse description | Brown-toned Notgeld note with a decorative chain-link border enclosing the entire design. At upper centre, a bold Gothic-script heading reads 'Notgeld der Stadt Medebach', flanked by denomination numeral '50' in each upper corner. To the left, a shield-shaped cartouche bears the large numeral '50' over the word 'Pfennig'. The central vignette presents a line-drawn view of Kloster Blindfeld with figures resting in the foreground, while to the right a shield cartouche contains a portrait bust with the inscription 'Beichige-heimnis'.
