What's worth noting here is the dual-printer attribution — Alfred Hanf and Otto Richters & Co. both operated out of Erfurt, and the two variants (catalogued as .3/4 and .5) likely reflect sequential press runs as demand outpaced any single shop's capacity.
The watermark security feature is slightly unusual for municipal notgeld of this denomination, where such precautions were often omitted as an unnecessary expense on what was effectively emergency scrip with a short intended lifespan.
