Obverse description The obverse presents a vignette of an open coin purse spilling silver coins onto a surface, set against a panoramic townscape with a prominent Gothic church spire to the right. Denomination cartouches in red and black, octagonal in form, are placed at the upper left and upper right corners, each bearing the numeral '50' in bold. The lower panel carries the validity inscription, the serial number, the municipal coat of arms — a blue shield charged with a red eight-pointed star — and a manuscript signature for Der Magistrat.

Reverse description The reverse is dominated by a detailed line-engraved vignette of the Kirchplatz in Perleberg, rendered in sepia tones, showing a row of historic step-gabled and half-timbered townhouses fronting a cobblestone square. A caption 'Am Kirchplatz' appears at the upper left within the image field, while a Low German dialect proverb runs across a decorative banner at the top. The word 'Gerettet' (Saved) is inscribed in bold Gothic lettering within a tan panel at the foot of the note.
