Der Stadtrat
Reverse description The reverse carries a finely executed full-colour vignette occupying almost the entire face, rendered in a woodcut-inspired illustrative style. The scene depicts two historical figures — Martin Luther and Andreas Karlstadt — seated and standing at a table in a Gothic-arched interior, engaged in discussion, referencing their 1524 meeting in Orlamünde. A caption panel at the bottom of the vignette, set on a tan ground in cursive script, identifies the scene, with a monogram 'G' visible at lower right within the composition.
