Obverse description Central vignette rendered in polychrome letterpress shows the Roda railway station building with its tiled roof and platform in the left foreground, railway tracks receding into the left margin, telegraph poles to the rear, and the local war memorial (Kriegerdenkmal) on a stepped hill to the right, framed by trees and a garden fence with a street lamp. The denomination '50 Pfg.' appears in bold Gothic type at the upper left and upper right corners above an arched border. The lower panel carries the issuing authority text and the facsimile signature of Mayor Hertzer alongside the municipal seal of Roda.

Reverse description A wide polychrome vignette set within an arched frame presents the village church of Roda (built 1251) with its distinctive bulbous spire rising above the rooftops in the centre background. In the left foreground a seated potter works clay vessels, while a seated glassblower with flasks and glassware occupies the right foreground, together symbolising the local ceramic and glass industries. Two heraldic shields appear in the upper corners of the arch. Denomination roundels reading '50 Pfg.' are set in the lower left and lower right corners, and the printer's imprint appears along the bottom margin.
