背面描述 Bipartite layout on a yellow-ochre and black ground in an Expressionist woodcut style. The larger left panel carries a vignette of the Hohe Schwarm tower ruin rising above stylised red foliage, with birds in flight against schematised cloud outlines, the artist's name 'WENCK' inscribed at lower left. A narrow right panel on a black ground bears the denomination '50 Pf' in gold Gothic lettering above the municipal arms of Saalfeld — a shield charged with two crossed fish.

备注

Saalfeld's 1921 notgeld issue belongs to the wave of municipal emergency currency that flooded Germany as coin shortages became acute in the postwar years. The designer credit "Wenck" appears on a number of Thuringian notgeld pieces from this period, though the printing house responsible for this specific issue has not been conclusively identified.

The date 30 April 1945 listed here almost certainly refers to a catalog or archive processing date — Saalfeld was taken by U.S. forces on that same day, the last day of Hitler's life, making any municipal printing activity on that date essentially impossible.
