Obverse description Brown letterpress Notgeld note with a diamond-pattern border frame. The central vignette presents a panoramic view of the old town of Hoym circa 1700, captioned above by a ribbon scroll inscribed 'Das alte Hoym i. J. 1700'; a lettered key identifying ten landmarks (church, tower, river, Bösehoff, town hall, castle mill, castle choir, Ballenstedt, Gegensteine, Quedlinburg) runs along the left margin. The town arms — a shield bearing a bear passant — appear at upper right, with the denomination '50' in bold at each corner; the lower panel carries the voucher inscription 'Gutschein No.' with handwritten serial number, validity clause dated 'Hoym, d. 17.5.1921', and the manuscript signature of the Magistrate Duckstein.
