At centre, a blue vignette of Gotha's market square with the town hall clock tower anchors the composition, while flanking figures in period costume — a stooped old man with a young girl to the left and a cloaked woman to the right — frame a central poetic inscription in Kurrent script. A bearded male portrait medallion appears at the top centre, and animated battle scenes in blue fill the upper border corners, with the denomination 'Pfennige' overprinted in large red Gothic letters across the middle text block. |
