| Obverse description | Dark olive-green letterpress note with the large numeral '50' repeated at upper left and upper right, flanking a central vignette of a standing medieval knight in armour bearing a lance and shield with an eagle motif. A text panel at lower left contains the redemption inscription in Gothic script, while a dated authority panel at lower right bears the issuing authority 'Der Magistrat' with two facsimile signatures. The serial number is printed in red at lower centre, and the printer's imprint 'Louis Koch Halberstadt' appears at the very foot of the design. |
