At left, a vertical panel contains an Art Nouveau-style vignette of a stylised tree with foliage, above the large numeral '50' set within an ornamental frame. The central and right portions carry a letterpress townscape vignette of Freiburg i. Schles., with two prominent church towers rising above the rooftops against a yellow sky with stylised cloud lines. A dark lower band bears the redemption text in Gothic script, the issue date 'Ausgabe Septbr. 1921', and the issuing authority 'Der Magistrat' with a manuscript signature. The printer's imprint 'GRUBE & SCHNEIDER FREIBURG i SCHL.' appears at the bottom margin. |
