| Obverse description | The obverse is dominated by a central text panel set against a fine green guilloche underprint, enclosed within a decorative black and green border with Art Deco geometric diamond vignettes at the corners and the denomination numeral '50' in large white figures on each lateral panel. The central text, in Gothic blackletter script, reads the payment order issued by the Stadtsparkasse Osterfeld, dated 15 December 1921, and bears the printed title 'Der Bürgermeister' above a manuscript signature and a circular red official city seal of Osterfeld i/W. The designer's credit 'Josef Dominicus, Paderborn' appears in small capitals above the central panel, and the series legend 'Die Sage von Burg Vondern (5)' runs along the bottom margin. |
