备注	Freiberg's municipal notgeld issue of 1921 belongs to the second wave of German emergency small-change currency — by this point the Reichsbank's coin shortage had become chronic, and hundreds of municipalities were printing their own stop-gap issues. Freiberg, a Saxon mining town with an unbroken silver extraction history stretching back to the twelfth century, used local printer Ernst Lange rather than contracting to one of the large specialized notgeld houses in Leipzig or Berlin. Self-printed municipal issues like this one tend to show more variation in ink coverage and alignment than the commercially produced series.
