A central circular vignette framed by a scalloped border presents a view of a medieval tower and fortification wall, flanked on either side by octagonal panels each bearing the large numeral '50' above the denomination 'Pfennig' in sans-serif type. The lower panel, set against a lighter ground, contains the validity clause and place-date in Gothic script, followed by the printed title 'Der Magistrat' and four manuscript signatures of municipal officials. |

| Opis rewersu | Printed in black, red, and slate-blue on cream paper, the reverse presents a lively woodcut-style vignette illustrating the historical 'Galgenstreit' (gallows dispute) between the towns of Salzuflen and Schötmar, with costumed Renaissance-era figures gathered around a gallows post. Small heraldic vignettes occupy the upper corners — a gallows device at left and a rose emblem at right — while the denomination '50 Pfg' appears in large Gothic numerals at either side. A four-line dialect verse in Gothic script runs across the lower panel, and the printer's imprint appears at lower right. |
