Obverse description Plain light paper note printed in dark blue ink throughout, with a simple ruled border. The denomination '50 Pfennige' is set in large Gothic blackletter type at centre, flanked to the upper left by the issuing authority designation 'Nöschenröder Notgeld' and to the lower left by the place and date of issue. A Low German verse runs along the right side within a ruled panel. Two facsimile manuscript signatures appear at the foot, attributed to the Schulze (mayor) and Schöppe (alderman).
