Obverse description The obverse carries a large stylized denomination numeral '50' in blue as the central vignette, atop which a monkey is perched to the left and an owl with a hand mirror stands to the right — both animals associated with the Till Eulenspiegel legend. The issuer's name 'Gemeinde Kneitlingen' is lettered in bold Gothic script across the upper register, with the designer's name 'Günther Clausen' and a red serial number printed to the upper right. A circular blue municipality stamp and the signature of the Gemeindevorsteher appear in the lower right, with issue and expiry dates along the bottom.
