Obverse description Green and black letterpress note with an ornate foliate underprint framing a central vignette of the Saxon coat of arms — barry of ten or and sable with a crancelin — flanked on each side by the denomination numeral '50' in dotted oval cartouches. Narrow vertical panels at left and right bear stylised tree and architectural motifs. The issuer legend 'Bezirksverband Auerbach i. Vogtland' runs in Gothic script along the upper register, while the lower section carries the serial number at left, the date 'Auerbach i.V., 1. Juli 1921' at right, and the denomination 'Fünfzig Pfennig' in bold Gothic lettering beneath the voucher inscription 'Gutschein über', with validity clause and a manuscript signature below.

Reverse description Dark brown and cream silhouette-cut vignette executed in the Scherenschnitt (paper-cut) technique by Hans Kinber, set within a series of concentric rectangular borders. The central image, rendered entirely in high-contrast black against a light ground, shows two stylised figures — a servant carrying a bowl at left and a rotund seated figure at a table with a goblet at right — illustrating a scene of gluttony. A two-line German couplet in Gothic script below the vignette identifies the subject, with the artist credit at lower left and printer imprint at lower right.
