背面描述 Multicolour reverse in black, grey, and salmon-red, dominated by a panoramic vignette of the Grabow skyline as seen across the River Elde, set within a decorative border of stylised foliage and torch-bearing motifs. To the left, a full-length figure of an armoured soldier in Pickelhaube uniform holds a sword and shield, accompanied by a tablet inscription in Low German. A large central panel in salmon-red carries a Low German verse in Gothic script, while a lower banner in black bears the denomination legend 'Föstig Penning' in bold Gothic lettering.

备注

Grabow an der Elde is a small town in Mecklenburg, and this 50 Pfennig note is a product of the Notgeld wave that swept German municipalities between 1919 and 1922 — a direct consequence of the Reichsbank's inability to keep small-denomination coinage in circulation during the postwar economic dislocation. Towns were legally permitted to issue their own emergency scrip, and hundreds did, some with genuine fiscal intent, others essentially producing collector issues for philatelic sale.

Faber in Magdeburg was a regional commercial printer, not a specialist security firm, which is entirely typical for lower Saxony and Mecklenburg issues of this period.
