Obverse description Multicolour Notgeld note printed on a reddish-brown ground with green radiating guilloche underprint. A central oval vignette encloses a stylised town gate with multiple turrets against a blue sky, flanked by denomination numerals '50' set within star-and-diamond cartouches on either side. The upper portion carries the town name 'Bad Schmiedeberg' in large Gothic script alongside the word 'Notgeld', with the inscription 'EISEN – MOOR –' and district reference 'BEZ. HALLE'; the lower panel bears two rhyming local motto lines in letterpress, followed by the redemption clause in cursive script, the serial number, and facsimile signatures above the imprint of the printer.

Reverse description Printed in black on a pale ground, the reverse carries a bold silhouette-style vignette occupying the upper two-thirds of the note, showing three figures in period Baroque costume with ruff collars gathered outdoors amid stylised foliage, rendered in a flat graphic manner characteristic of 1920s German Notgeld illustration. The denomination '50' appears at the upper left and 'Pf' in Gothic script at the upper right. Below the vignette, a dark panel contains three lines of rhyming verse in Gothic script, preceded by the series number '3', with the lithographer's credit 'LEHMANN-WITTENBERG' at the lower left.
